Princess Avarice, residing on her throne of pure goldmatching the noble dress tailored of satin, beholding her one and only, her material goods. Feeling grand over those in jealousy of her abundance, she has no idea of the deadly sin she lives as she pays no appreciation to the spiritual aspects of her worldly belongings.

The Seven Deadly Sins: AVARICE by *blackeri is a delightful digital painting about a stricter aspect of religion and spiritual life.

Also viewable as our Print of the Day. ( Featured by Thunderstatement )

Your Seven Deadly Sins series is whimsical, enchanting, and very well constructed! I absolutely love the elements of symbolism you included in each piece- this makes your spin on this generally over-done theme very refreshing and unique :) Lust and Envy are my two favorites- Lust because of the complex  detail, the unique lighting scheme, and the fact that I just can't help but love the appeal of the idea. Envy is amazing because you managed to take what I also think of as the ugliest sin and still made it beautiful and delicate, yet menacing. One thing I particularly marvel at it the draping you gave each sin's dress. Gowns with that much complexity are very difficult to make so convincing, yet you pulled it off with photo perfection. So, I must ask: how did you go about your study of draping? I have worked for years to master this, but my skill at designing flowing textiles is still so shaky. Anyway, excellent work and thank you so much for sharing your lovely pieces!

Definately represents her sin and those who conduct it.

I'm not that religious either, but I still find this topic fascinating. :)
